Cinabre Gallery expands its creative universe with the introduction of new designers, each bringing a distinct vision to the house’s signature language of cast bronze..
Christine D. Rouvière

My work is a way of bringing nature closer — not as it is, but as it is felt.
A trained artist, Christine Rouvière first gained recognition through her neo-realist paintings exhibited in galleries in Pittsburgh and Washington, where she was awarded for her work Woman with the Cats in 1984. In 1992, she co-founded Cinabre, becoming its creative force and shaping, over more than two decades, a singular and enduring body of work that defines the very identity of the house today.
At the core of her practice lies an intimate dialogue with matter. Driven by a lifelong fascination for nature—long imagined rather than lived—Rouvière sculpts textures that evoke bark, minerals, leaves or organic growths, capturing their essence rather than their form. In this new collection, her work reaches a new maturity: compositions become more elemental, almost primordial, where raw surfaces meet polished bronze, and dark patinas contrast with luminous, mirror-like finishes. Each piece reveals a quiet tension between strength and delicacy, expressing a deeply personal vision of nature—instinctive, tactile, and profoundly poetic.
Nature rarely repeats itself. Each piece in the Grotto collection celebrates that same individual spirit in hand-crafted sculpture.
The son of a mason, specialising in Coral Stone, Florida-born John Abbate developed an early fascination with materials shaped by the sea. Over the years, he built an international career as an interior designer for renowned brands such as Ralph Lauren and Alfred Dunhill before establishing his own studio in Asia, is now based in London.
For Cinabre, John imagined the Grotto Collection, inspired by the sublime poetry of the English coastline. Flint stones embedded in chalk cliffs, seaweed flowing with the tide, and oyster shells scattered along the shore became the starting point for a series of sculptural lighting pieces. Rather than replicating these elements directly, their forms and textures are translated through Cinabre’s bronze casting process into tactile and intimate compositions. The lighting collection echoes the spirit of the Baroque grotto; mysterious architectural spaces, where nature and ornament merge, transforming marine treasures into timeless objects of art.

Thomas Mang

Timeless design is the result of thoughtful materiality & spatial clarity.
Thomas Mang is a well-known Munich architect whose work is guided by the idea that true luxury lies in holistic design. Through Thomas Mang Studio he unites interior design, architecture and art consulting, creating spaces where every surface, object and artwork contributes to a complete and perfectly tuned atmosphere – an approach that naturally extends into his work on individual design pieces.
Out of the intense dialogue between Thomas Mang Studio and Cinabre Gallery emerges a sculptural lighting piece that unites bronze artistry and holistic architectural thinking. Inspired by the interplay of bronze as a material and the quality of light, Thomas has created an object that transcends the idea of a conventional lamp. Drawing on Cinabre’s nature-inspired casting and Thomas Mang’s precise sense of space, it becomes a functional sculpture that quietly anchors the room and shapes its atmosphere through light, shadow and material – meaningful and timeless, suited for a wide range of interiors.
There is no beauty without intention — only what carries meaning deserves to
endure.
A nomadic French designer shaped by movement and observation, Adrien Aurel developed his vision through years spent between Europe and the Far East. Immersed in the world of luxury retail, he has conceived hundreds of furniture and interior pieces for leading houses, refining a deep understanding of materials, technical precision, and the pursuit of excellence. His work is driven by a constant desire to push the limits of what matter can express, balancing discipline with intuition.
For Cinabre, Adrien Aurel introduces a collection inspired by the radiant language of Art Deco—reinterpreted through a more organic and living vocabulary. Structured geometries unfold into softer forms, where rays of light become sculpted patterns reminiscent of palm leaves. Through this dialogue between structure and nature, each piece seeks elevation: an expression of light, direction, and purpose.

CG Studio

A piece is never xed — it evolves with the space it inhabits.
CG Studio embodies the evolving dimension of Cinabre’s creations—where existing pieces are reinterpreted, adapted, and extended to meet the specific needs of each project. Rooted in a close dialogue with interior designers and clients, the studio explores new proportions, materials, and applications, allowing the collections to expand beyond their original form while preserving their artistic integrity.
Through this approach, artworks evolve into more versatile expressions: wall lights are reimagined into architectural compositions, table lamps become sculptural side tables, and singular pieces unfold into modular or bespoke installations. The introduction of new materials such as alabaster and white onyx further enriches this vocabulary, offering softer, luminous alternatives to bronze. Bridging creation and adaptation, CG Studio reflects Cinabre’s commitment to bespoke—where each piece can be refined, transformed, and tailored to inhabit a space with precision, coherence, and character
